CHRISTCHURCH. Friday, June 21. (Before Mr W. Prudlioe, J.P., and Mr G. Payling, J.P.) Drunkenness. —Five first -offenders, ■one a mere bay, were each fined Ss arid costs, in default twenty-four bout's’ imprisonment.—Theodore Hacker was fined 10s and costs, and one case was adjourned. Remanded Cases. Annie Osborne, charged with having, on June 8. at Christchurch, stolen a pint measure, the property of Alfred Lawrence, was remanded until Tuesday, bail being allowed.—A boy named Robert Hawthorn, alleged to have abstracted £3 10s from a dwelling-house in Prebbleton, was remanded until Wednesday next. —Albert Dyer, bharged with ■having done ,7s 6cl. worth of , damage to a door, was' also remanded until Wednesday. Cycling on the Footpath.— Thomas for having allowed a cow to wander at large, was fined £1 and costs. Cow at Large.— William Thomas, for having allowed a cow to wander, * was fined £1 and costs. Pawnbroker’s License.— The application of Benjamin Bain for the renewal of a pawnbroker’s license was granted.
