MARKET REPORTS.
WEST MELTON. At the West Melton Yards yesterday, there was an .entry of 3000 sheep, with a good attendance, of buyers, and either at auction or privately every line was cleared at ruling rates. The following were the principal sales: —Forty-four very prime lambs at 17s, 40 fat ewes at 15s, 87 prime wethers at 20s, 138 cross-bred ewes at 15s lOd, 44 at 10s Id, 100 two-tooth cross-breds at 16s 6d, 200 breeding ewes at 16s 3d, 153 ditto at 15s Bd, 125 ditto at 17s 3d, 94 store lambs at 12s 6d, 50 merino ewes at 8s 6d, 150 at Bs, 450 breeding- ewes at 14s lOd, 300 two-tooth wethers at 15s 6d. AMBESLEY. There was a large attendance at the fortnightly sheep sale on Monday. Bidding was brisk for the station lots offered, most of which found buyers at for halfbred four-year-old ewes 16s 4d to 18s, various ages 15s 4di to 16s, two-tooth halfbred wethers 14s to 14s 6d, two-tooth crossbred ewes 16s 8d to 19s sd, full-mouth 12s Sd to 13s lOd, six and eight-tooth 16s 6d, five-year-old 10s to 12s 7d, store lambs 8s 6d to 12s 10di, fat crossbred ewes 13s i 2d to 14s 3d, fat merino ewes 9s 6d, stores 7s lOd.
