PARISH MEETINGS.

ST ANDREW’S, TIN WALD. The annual meeting of parishioners was held at the Vicarage, Tinwald, on Friday evening. The Rev J. Blackburn occupied the chair, and stated that the general offertories had not come tip to the preceding year, but that special offertories had been well supported. The attendances bad been well maintained, and the choir had improved in numbers and efficiency, due in a large measure to the appointment of Mr H. Bryant King as choirmaster. The Sunday school showed a decided increase, and was favourably reported upon by the diocesan inspector. The Vicar nominated Mr G. Culverhouse as bishop’s warden, and Mr D. Tippett, was nominated parishioners? churchwarden. JTUe following nominations; were made for :—Messrs ■J. Gudsell, J. Robinson, G. Smith and I R. Tremain. Mi C. Ward was appointed auditor. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the members of tho Ladies’ Work Guild, the Superintendent and teachers of the Sunday school, Mr J. Ward (lay reader) and Miss Cowper (organist).

ST JAMES’S CHURCH, SOUTHBRIDGE. The annual meeting of this church was held on Wednesday evening in the parish room. The Rev P. J. Cocks presided, and there was a good attendance. Mr J. R. Campbell, who had acted as bishop’s warden, resigned his office. Mr J. R. Campbell read his report, which showed that tho parish room had been re-roofed at a cost of .£ls 10s, paid out of ordinary revenue. The subscription of the guarantee fund had been well paid up. The balance-sheet showed a balance, which will he augmented by payments from the subdistricts. A supplementary report by Mr James Inwood was also read. The reports and balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: — Mr James In wood, as vicar’s warden; Mr C. H. Willis, as people’s warden; vestry, Messrs J. H. Parker, J. E. Campbell, A. 0. Williams, P. J. Marshall, C. R. Thornton, H, Montgomery, R. P. Hill, W. Scott, W. Hibbard and K. Rome. Votes of thanks were passed to the retiring churchwardens and vestry, Sunday school teachers, the organist and the auditors. It was resolved to have the stipend guarantee as before, and the meeting terminated.
