PRESENTATION TO P.P.G.M. BEO C. C. SMITHSON. P.G.M. certificates, handsomely framed, were presented to P.G.'s Bros J. Carston, •A. Quigley, 11. Young and H. .M. Hay. On behalf of the district officers of North North Canterbury, the P.G.M. presented P.P.G.M. Bro G. C. Bro W Johnston, on behalf of the Loyal Leeston Lodge, also presented P.P.G.M. Bro C. C. Smithson, secretary to the Lodge, with a purse of sovereigns. Bro Smithson replied in an eloquent and feeling speech, in which he referred to the progress of Oddfeliowship in the district, and concluded by thanking the district officers and the Leeston Lodge for their handsome gifts. Representatives were present from the Loyal Addington, Benevolent, Norwich (Lyttelton), Volunteer, Eiccarton, City of Christchurch and Sister Pearce Lodges, and P.G.M. Bro A. H. Paddy, on behalf of the district officers, responded to the third sentiment. The Lodge then adjourned for harmony and refreshments, and a most enjoyable evening was spent.
