PARISH MEETINGS.

ST LUKE’S,

The annual meeting of parishioners of St Luke’s Churclf was hold last evening. There was a moderate attendance, and the vicar, the Ven Archdeacon Lingard, occupied the chair. The annual report referred to the appointment of an assistant curate, to the decrease in collections and in the- number of church sittings, and congratulated the congregation on the reduction of the parish debt. The balance-sheet showed receipts to the amount of £875 19s 6d, and expenditure £665 4s Bd. The sick and needy fund showed a credit balance of 15s, and the new church building fund of £ll9 11s. The balance to the credit of the Sunday school fund was £4 9s lOd, and to the Sunday school guild fund £l7 19s. The report 1 and balance-sheet were adopted. The following officers were elected: — Vicar’s churchwarden, Mr G. W. Thomas; people’s churchwarden, Mr A. Allard; vestrymen, Messrs V. White-Parsons. H. M. Lee, H. Morrow, A. F. N. Blakiston, W. A. Carew, A. C. Pratt, A. W. Fames, W. R. M’Kean and P. P. Smith. At the termination of the meeting refreshments were provided.
