[Per Press Association.] SYDNEY, Sept. 1. Cbris is weighted for the Brush Hurdles at the Hawkesbury meeting at 10st 21b. Hopscotch'has hardened down to 7 to 1 for the Epsom Handicap. Vivian and Amiable are sought after at 14 to 1. AUCKLAND, Sept 1. The Papal:ura Racing Club having waived their right to a race meeting this season in favour of the metropolitan club of the Auckland district, the Auckland Racing Club will be enabled to cany out their programme as originally drafted, and the first spring meeting is fixed to be held on Sept. 19 and 23. The owner of Daystar to-day accepted a wager of 1000 to 30 about his colt for the New Zealand Cup. A clearing sale of Mr B. Edwards’s trotting stock was held' by Messrs Tonks and Norton at Avonhead yesterday. There was a large attendance, but buyers were scarce. Judge, syrs, by Judge Beldon, was passed in at 9212, Rarus, aged, by Fitzjames at 920 and Imperial, Syrs, by Imperious Fairy, at 950. Peri a two-year-old full sister to Imperial was purchased by Mr Sefton at a satisfactory price, and a pneumatic-tyred sulky went for 915 10s. Le Corbeau and Fairy, which were advertised to be sold on behalf of Mr M. Edwards, were withdrawn.
