[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, July 13. Maisra Westcad (chairman of the Waihi Grand Junction syndicate in London) and Mr R. H. Pyles, mining experts, who have been reporting on the Thames goldfields for English capitalists, were passengers by the Mariposa for San Francisco. WESTPORT, July 13. The coal export for the week ended today was 5761 tons, of which 661 were from the West.port-Cardiff Company and 5100 from the Westport Coal Company. GKSYMOUTH, July 14, The coal export for the week was 2085 tons. The Blackball Company exported 702 tons. EEEFTON, July 14. The following arc the gold returns for the week: —Progress, 1920 z of amalgam from 220 tons, top plates; Hercules _Bsoz of amalgam from 87 tons; Eeep-it-Dark, 70oz of amalgam from 80 tons, top plates. The Shamrock Lead Goldmining !Company’s returns for the last three weeks are 07-402 of smelted gold.
