A man named Bichard Fintey was drowned in the Tiraumoa Elver on Friday. He shot a duck, and fell in while trying to recover ic, and could not swim. The body has been recovered. VvSSTPOET, Jan. 27. J. T. Moynihan, solicitor, who was thrown from a horse on Jan. 17, died last night from the effects of the accident. OAMABU, Jan. 27. A sou of 7Ar J. B. Taylor, a farmer at The Tables, aged two and a half years, was drowned, on Friday, by falling into a well. At 10.30 a.m. yesterday tho body of James O’Brien, was found in the watering tank at the corner of Peterborough and Victoria Streets. O’Brien was eightyfour years ot ago, and followed the occupation of a chimney-sweeper. On Jan. 30, 1893, he attempted to commit suicide by shooting himself in the head with a small revolver. He war brought before the Police Court on March 7 and cautioned and discharged. An inquest will be held at the Gladstone Hotel at 9.30 a.m. to-day. Last evening a little boy named Gordon Aitehisoa fell down on some oilcloth in hie parents’ house at Sydenham and broke his left arm. He was attended to at the hospital.
