DIVORCE. SYDNEY, June 24. Intimation has been received that the Queen has assented to the Divorce Bill.
THE QUEENSLAND LEGISLATURE, BRISBANE, June 24.
A heated debate took place in the Lower House last night on the Elections Bill, Sir S. Griffith censuring Mr Glassey, the member for Bundoora, for a seditious speech. He asked him if he was aware that some of his friends and supporters had been seriously discussing the question of murdering certain members of tho House. He intimated that Mr Glassey was. Mr Glasooy emphatically denied the allegation as to his connection with any murder project.

Heavy weather has been experienced at Launceston, and in the northern districts floods are feared. Snow has fallen near Launceston for the first time for thirteen years. One of the passengers who landed from the steamer Oroya and failed to report himself, has been discovered suffering from small-pox, THE PISHING INDUSTRY. Several of the witnesses examined before the Select Committee of the Legislative Council set up to inquire into and report on the fishing industry recommend the imposition of a duty on fish imported from New Zealand.
