THE GENERAL ELECTION.
MB MONTGOMERY AT OKAIN’B AND LB SON’S BAYS. On Tuesday and Wednesday evenings Mr Montoombby addressed thoclectors of Akaroa at each of the above Bays, and, after reiterating his views at previously published in these columns, andansweringa numberof questions, ho was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence on each occasion. TUB HON JOHN HALL AT DUN--BANDEL. Tho Hon J. Hall addressed a meeting of electors in the Dunsandel Public Library on Thursday evening. Tho chair was taken by Mr B. Westenra. Mr Hall repeated in substance the speech he delivered at Leeston, and answered a numberof questions satisfactorily, A vote of thanks and confidence was carried, with only one dissentient, MB M'ILRAITH AT IMBERLKY. Mr MTlbaith addressed the electors in the Town Hull, Amberley, on Thursday, and was most favourably received. After he had gone through the leading topics of tho day, on the motion of Mr J, 8. Woodhouse, a cordial vote of thanks was passed to the candidate. Mr Fendall, who was also present, addressed the meeting, and received a similar compliment.
