A Chinese mother at Fresno, Oregon, bandaged her little girl's feet after the faehion of her country, and tor several days the cries of the sufferer were heard throughout the mining town j then a mob of indignant miners broke into the house, out off the bandages, soaked the child's feet in linamentand threatened to hang the woman if she renewed the process. Biohard Allen, one of the most prominent coloured politicians in Texas, who was, four years ago, candidate for Lieutenant-Governor is charged with stealing one of two bodies were buried by the county on July 24. Both bodies were interred in the same grave. One has been identified as that of a member of a well-known Presbyterian family.
