PROCLAMATION.

(From the Government Gazette of April 24.)

Whereas, by an Ordinance enacted by the Governor of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, Session 111, No. 1, intituled "An Ordinance for establishing a Supreme Court," it is enacted that there shall he held Circuit Courts of the said Supreme Court, at such places and at such times as His Excellency the Governor shall, with the advice of the Executive Council, by Proclamation from time to time appoint. And Whereas, it is expedient that a Circuit Court he established at Lyttelton, in the Settlement of Canterbury, in the Southern District of the Supreme Court, Now therefore, I, the Governor, Do Hereby Proclaim and appoint that twice in every year, that is to say, on the Fifteenth day of October in the present year, and on the 15th day of April and the Fifteenth day of October in every succeeding year, or as soon after each of the said days respectively as conveniently may be, a Circuit Court shall be held at Lyttelton aforesaid, at the Court House in the said Town. This Proclamation shall take effect from and after the date of the passing hereof. G. Grey, Governor.
