QUEENSTOWN CRICKET CLUB

Annual Meeting

The opening day for the Queenstown Cricket Club was fixed for October 12 at the annual meeting of the club held last Friday evening. The president. Mr W. H. Nelson, presided over a good attendance of members. Officers elected were:—President, Mr tV. H. Nelson; vice-presidents —Messrs L. J. Lynch, A. Muirhead, E. R. Hopwood, J. W. Gardiner, J. H Thomson, J. E. Home, R. J. Fuller, L. J. Lindsay, A. Gibson and W. H. Thompson (Crown Terrace) ; secretary, Mr T. J. Donaldson; club captain, Mr J. H. Muir; committee—Messrs R. Anderson, L. J. Lynch, J. G. Forbes, W. Hayward, J. Muir and W. Anderson. New members elected were as follows: Messrs J. G. Forbes, H. I. Templeton, W. Sew Hoy and R. Sew Hoy. It was resolved to support the Ramblers Club in negotiations with the Borough Council in the matter of a new pitch, for the new sports ground.
