Mrs Meinhold and family are spending a few days at " The Rocks," near Muriwai. Among the visitors to Helensville Musical Society's operetta were Mrs J. E. Page and Mtrs Colmore Williams, of Dargaville Mrs Airey, of South Africa, a daughter of Mr D. Stewart of this town, who has been here on a holiday visit, left on Monday for Auckland. Mrs J. E. Page, of Dargaville, is at present on a holiday visit to Helensville, and is staying with Mrs H. W. Stringer. A little boy named Johnson from Tahekeroa successfully underwent an operation for internal trouble last Saturday at the local hospital, Dr Meinhold being assisted by Dr Marchesini, of Auckland. A well-known and highly respected settler died at Maungaturoto the other day in Mr Alex. Fihlaysom He had been identified with the North for the greater part of his life and where he was best known was most highly esteemed. He Was a director of the Auckland Farmers' Union Ltd, and had rendered valuable service in that capacity.

At a business meeting held in the Church of Christ oil Wednesday last Mr Milner handed in his resignation as minister-in-charge; he will still represent the N. Z. Evangelistic Association and intends to continue preaching in the district without remuneration.

The friends of Mr A. Bradly will be pleased to hear that he is now in much improved health, and is leaving the hospital to-day.
