The local Territorial Cadets played -a team from the City at Helensville ilast Saturday, the visitors being easy vwinners. The "Wairoa representatives team -recently at HeleDsville, were very loud -in their praises of the attention and comfort they experienced while staying at Mrs McEwin's hotel. They also xjav a high tribute to the refereeing of Mr T. Durand, and to the kindness of Kaipara Union officials. A large picture of the victorious cup team was recontly presented to Mr W. Harrison at Dargaville, which had on the following inscription :'• Presented t0 William Harrison by Mr J. Gordon Coates,M.P., in appreciation of tho . -patriotic service he has for twenty 'years past rendered to football m the Northern Wairoa.
