SEPARATION FROM INDIA. ELECTORS TO DECIDE. (Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 10.15 a.m.) Calcutta, March 2. Burma will be separated from India on April 1, 1934, if the Burmese people decide at the forthcoming election ,on the separation issue that they do not want their country to join the Indian Federation.

This announcement was made today at the Burma Council by the Governor, Sir Charles Innes, who urged that the election be held in the autumn of this year.
