PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATES.
VISIT TO TASMANIA. (Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 10.5 a.m.) Hobarl. this day. The Empire Parliamentary delegation has concluded its tour of lasmania. At Launceston the Hon. John Barr (New Zealand), in supporting the Marquis of Salisbury in an expression of thanks for the splendid reception accorded the delegates said the Tasmanian trip had been delight-, ful, especially the visit to the Great Lake, from which he understood much of the future wealth ot Launceston in the matter of hydroelectricity would be obtained. He sa'id the United Kingdom was a small place, but carried big forces m the affairs of the world. Their.great objective was to work for the security of world peace, and that _ could only be done bv having a unity of nations such as they had never had before. They did not want to hear the war trumpets sounded again. Mr. Barr congratulated the people of the State upon their steadfastness.
