ESCAPEE FROM ROTOROA.
ARRESTED IN AUSTRALIA. (Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 10.45 a.m.) Melbourne, this day. The Star's Sydney! correspondent gives the name of the drug addict who escaped from Rotoroa Island, New Zealand, and was in arrested in Sydney for vagrancy, as an ex-Auckland chemist named Charles Marshall Fife, aged 40. 'Fife stated that he escaped from the island in a leaky skiff to the mainland and would not or could not say lioav lie reached Australia.
