The Farmers' Co-operative .Auctioneering Co., Ltd.. report: —■ At Tirau on 27th February we had an entry of 4000 sheep and 345 cattle chicily calves. Cattle sold well but sheep were dull of sale. Fat cows made £5 Hs to£« 3s, fresh conditioned cows £-1 os, good calves 3us to 38s, small calves 21s, stags £4 to £4 18s, fat ewes 12s (id to 13s Cci, aged store ewes 8s Od, wooolly lumos 7s 4d to 9s, 4 tooth wees 13s od, wethers 14s to 15s, good framed 6 and 8 tooth ewes 13s. We held our Cnmbri.lge sale on 4th March, the usual date being one of the show days. The entry was small, but what was in sold fairly well. Fat ewes made 12s (kl, fat wethers 17s, fac lambs 10s to 12s, store 3i year steers £5, forward 3 year steers £6 3s, good calves 36s to 40s, smaller sorts 31s, store cows £3 13 to £3 Ss. On Wednesday, Ist March, we held our second Ohaupo sheep i : air, when the yarding totalled just on 12,000 sheep. Prices were very similar to the Ngarua wahia sheet) sale of the previous week, with the exception of Wctners, for which, although the entry was small, tho demand also v. : a3 not too keen. Best woolly lambs (stores) sold from 7a 9d to Sstid, shorn lambs 7s to Bs, cull lambs 5s to Us, fat wethers l(is, well grown wethers in forward condition 13s 3d to 14s sd, small store wethers 10s (id to lis I'd, 2 tooth ewes 14s 7d to His Id, small 2 tooth ewes 10s 0d to lis 6d, 4 and 15 tcoth ewes 14s to 14s (id, good framed four year ewes 12s (Jd to 13s 3d, live and six year ewes, good frames and in good condition 103 ticl to lis lid, aged and cull ewes 7s to Ss 6d. Altogether 1 (),45S vvere sold, those remaining unsold being 500 ewes, wethers, and lambs, and a line of 1000 2 tooth ewes.
LONDON, MARKETS. Wheat.—The markets arc depressed, especially for distant cargoes, owing to the continued pressure to sell Indian arid River Plate cargoes. Weakness in America and heavy world's shipments, though decreasing stocks in the United Kingdom have caused a demand for near wheats. o3s lid is asked for Australian Januaiy-Febru-ary-March shipment,.ous (id for parcels of March and April, 31s 9d to 32s for cargoes of New Zealand new crop, March shipment. There is small inquiry for Australian spot at 36s 6d to u7s. Flour is alow; Australian patents 25s store; 2'Js ud February-March shipment. Oats. —Slow. Cartons 19s to 21s (iii, sparrowbills ISs 6d to 20s (id, La Plata March-April 18s. Leans. —New Zealand slow at G">3 to B(is.
