There was no water supplv available so the fire brigade was helpless. The building, which was very substantial, and the machinery, cost over X'liOOO. The origin eJ the tire hi a mystery. No caretaker is employed and the police found all the. doors, locked. The building has been unused since last summer., The insurance is £7OO on machinery and £;UH> on the building. The association was in liquidation, and tenders tor purchase of the buildings and plant were to hav closed to-day.
