TE KUITI SPORTS CLUB.
The second meeting of the above club was held in the "Chronicle" office on Thursday evening last. Mr N. C. Matthew was voted to the chair.
It was resolved that the sports meeting for the year 1911, he held on Wednesday, March Ist. The election of officers for the year 1910-11 resulted as follows: Patron, Mr W. T. Jennings, M.P.; president, Mr John Hetet; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Boddie, W. S. King, K. 11. Hardy, T. E. Foy, A. V. StmddciV, S. - Kelso, F. Sims, F. Darrow, Drs Zob r >l, Fullerton and Paxton; committee, Messrs N. C. Matthew (chairman), Albrechtsen, H. McColl, F. Hattaway, H. Jane, J. Pitcon, Hitchcock, M. Forsyth, Trevarthen, G. Gresham, McMahon, A. Gresham, H. Rothery (with power to add to their number;) jowigeis wood-chopping events, Mr Albrechtsen; running events, Messrs Hetet, Julian and Falwasser; starters, woodchopping events, Mr Berkahn; athletic events, Mr Ruthery; handicappers, wood - chopping events, Mr P. E. Hardy, Eltham; running events, Messrs Julian and John Hetet; timekeepers, Messrs Chilcott and N. B. Lusk; axemen's and ground steward, l Mr J. Pitcon.
Eigbteen-inch New Zealand Championship Chop. -It was resolved that the secretary should notify the Axemen's Association that Te Kuiti Sports Club meeting would be held om Wednesday, March Ist, 1911, and that arrangements are being made for the above championship. Ft was also resolved that Te Kuiti Sports Club accept the Auckland Provincial Athletic Association Championships for 1910-11, as offered by the Association.
The next meeting will be held in the "Chronicle" office on Thursday evening, November 17th, at 8 p.m., when it is hoped that a large number of those interested in furthering the sports meeting, will attend.
