Messrs Dalgehy and Co., Ltd., report:— On Saturday, 2i)th October, we held our usual monthly stock sale in the Te Awamutu yards, when a full yarding of cattle, also pigs, caniij forward. Young cattle were somewhat dull of sale, and vendors had to accept lower prices than of lata. We, h.iwever, disposed of most of the lines under the hammer, and made a full clearance afterwards. We quote:—-Fat hoil'era £t 10s to £6 3s, forward cows £4 10s to £5, empty heifers £3 14s to £4 10a, empty heifers, small £3 5s to £3 11a, cows and calves £3 Bs, yearling steers £2 14s to £3 2s Gd, mixed yearilngs £2 (5s to £2 Bs, dairy cows £5 10a to £6, yearling Shorthorn hulls 5£ to 7sgns, wearier pigs lis 3J to 143 10J, weaner pigs, small 5s 3d to fls.
