THE MAIN HIGHWAYS

VISIT BY BOARD. The members of the Alain Highways Board —Messrs A. J. Baker, G. A. Barrow, C. J. Talbot, W. Morrison, and AT. H. Wynyard—are expected to reach Blenheim at noon to-morrow from Nelson. Following an inspection of the Picton and Blenheim highways, the party will leave on Wednesday morning for Kaikoura, breaking the journey at Scddon, where representations are to be made by the Awatere County Council regarding the taking, over of the Dash-wood-Clarence main highway. The Board is to be accompanied by two executive officers, Messrs E. W. Albertson (Highways Engineer) and G. W. Knapp (Secretary).
