Mr Moricc Gibson and Mr I'. (Moulding (Christchurch) were visitors to Kaiikoura during the week-end. Miss M. Kane (Christchurch) is the guest of the Misses Wareham, “Wheatlands. ’ ’ Misses M. and N. Smith, E. Wareham, and M. Mackie returned to Kaikoura on Saturday, after spending a few days in Christchurch. Despite the inclement weather there was a good attendance at the dance held in the Suburban Hall on Saturday night under the supervision of the Kowhai Tennis Club. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs Sabiston’s orchestra and extras were played by Miss E. Wareham. The “sealed”; ilance was won by Miss M. Trudgian and partner and the Monte Carlo by Miss K. Lanyon and Mr H. Smith. Messrs‘H. Smith and Chapman were masters of ■ceremony. Supper was served and dancing continued until midnight.
