DENTAL CLINIC.
Advice has been received that a nurse is now available for dental clinic work in Kaikoura. Arrangements have been completed and the nurse will commence her duties when school resumes after the holidays. A tender has been let to Mr A. J. Stubbcrsfield for the conversion of the staff room at the Town School for clinic purposes, and the work is to be completed by the end of May. Children attending each of the schools in the district will receive this service, but no child will be treated without the consent of the parents. All children from 2J years of age are also eligible, provided that they intend going on the roll of one of the schools in the district. Parents requiring any information n connection with the dental clinic are asked to get in touch immediately with the secretary (Mr R. E. Clark), who will be only too pleased to give the desired information, and enter names on the roll. The objects of the service arc wellknown to all and require no comment, but it is pleasing to note that Kaikoura schools are to get a service hitherto confined to city school'-. It is the committee’s intention to raise sufficient funds to make the service entirely free, but donations will be gratefully received and acknowledged. Examination of the childr< ns teeth will be commenced immediately on reopening of school and parents are invited to accompany the' children and receive reports. Get in touch with the secretary right away so that there will be no delay in giving the children this great boom.
