The Assault Case.

As an outcome of the recent assault case in Creyke Street, which was characterised by much violence and brutality, two young men (William Nicholls and William Comer) were charged at the Magistrate's Court this morning with having on Maj sth, at Christchurch, robbed Sarah Falloon of the sum of L2, and used personal violence towards her. The accused both pleaded not guilty, and were committed to the Supreme Court for trial, bail being allowed.
