SPORTS AT KEREPEHI AN OUTSTANDING SUCCESS 3000 ASSEMBLE ON DOMAIN A record crowd, numbering in the vicinity of 3000, was present at the annual meeting of the Kerepehi Racing and Sports Club, held on the Kerepehi domain on Easter Monday. The gdte takings were approximately £230. The weather was perfect and the meeting was an outstanding success. Although the programme was a large one, the efficient organisation of the fixture enabled events to be run to schedule which greatly added to the enjoyment of the spectators who had travelled from all parts of the South Auckland area to attend the meeting. Prior to the presentation of the cups, , the president thanked the competitors and the public for their attendance and for their assistance in making the day such a success. He thanked the Kerepehi Boys’ Brass Band for the ; items they had given during the day,; and expressed his appreciation of the work of the officials which had resulted in the day being so successful. The president then introduced Mr C. Handley of Paeroa, the patron of i the clubv'whcr'presented the trophies j won during'the day and congratulated the «uccessfui; competitors on their ■ effort.
