CAR OVER BANK

ACCIDENT AT KAIAUA OCCUPANTS’ LUCKY ESCAPE An accident occurred on the top of Opita hill, Kaiaua, late Monday afternoon, the occupants escaping serious injury, when a car driven by Mr Fred Bennett of Auckland went over a slight incline when negotiating a bend in the road. Although the car turned over three or four times and was badly damaged, Mr Bennett and his passenger escaped with slight bruises. They were able to walk to the nearest homestead and telephone for a breakdown truck.
