WED IN COROMANDEL

McMULLAN—STRONGMAN

BRIDE IN TRAINED GOWN

A charming wedding took place in the Presbyterian Church, Coromandel, on Saturday, March 19, when Patricia Winifred, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs S. Strongmon, of Coromandel, was married to Basil John, second son of Mr and Mrs McMullan, of Wanganui. Rev. Leggott officiated at the ceremony and Mrs D. Stewart presided at the organ.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a trained gown of white embossed French cloque, cut on simple lines, with heart-shaped neck-

line and full skirt. She wore a net veil held to her head with a coronet or orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of white belladonna lilies and dahlias.

«The bridesmaid, Miss Ray Norris, wore a frock of ice blue embossed French cloque, with a dainty headdress of pink carnations. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations and dahlias. Kay Strongman, sister of the bride, was flowergirl and looked very sweet in a long frock of pink satin brocade with head-dress of parnations and zinnias.

The best man was Mr Ray Carey.

The church was tastefully decorated by friends of- the bride with a large white wedding bell. A reception was held at the Golconda Hotel where Mrs Strongman, assisted by Mrs R. Bronlund, received the guests. Mrs Strongman was wearing a navy ensemble with white trimmings, and Mrs Bronlund wore a black ensemble with touches of white.

In the evening a dance was held in St. George’s hall, which was decorated with flowers and streamers, when the public were the guests of Mr and Mrs Strongman and a most enjoyable evening was spent. A happy evening was brought to a close at midnight.
