39th ANNUAL MEETING OFFICERS FOR YEAR ELECTED The Coromandel Bowling Club held its thirty-ninth annual meeting on Wednesday, July 14. The following officers were elected for the 1948-49 season:—

President, Mr A. S. Tonkin; past president, Mr H. V. Denize; secretarytreasurer, Mr T. M. Lillis; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs W. J. Gamble, R. A. McNeil and W. J. Denize; committee, Messrs C. H. McKenzie, T. F. Barrett, P. Hansen and M- Wilson; delegate to centre, Mr T. Sparling; green superintendent, Mr J. Fisher; social committee, Messrs A. S. Tonkin, T. M. Lillis, T. F. Barrett, W. J. Gamble and W. J. Denize. Several new members were elected, and the coming season promises to be a very successful one. The club is fortunate in being able to secure the services of Mr G. Butler, a green expert, who is now working on the green, which should be in excellent order for the opening of the season. The club is having floodlights erected so that members who are unable to play during the day may do so at night.
