expenditure during year COROMANDEL AND THE BAY Coromandel hospital with a daily average of 10.93 occupied beds throughout the 1947/48 period, had £6199 5s 6d expended on it by the Thames Hospital Board during that time. It is estimated by the board that £6250 will be required for the current year. Details of expenditure were as follows: Provisions, £845 Is lOd; surgery and dispensary, £224 6c 8d; domestic, £619 4s sd; salary and wages, £3690 9s 6d; miscellaneous, £133 4s 6d; establishment, £2OB 6s lid; grounds, £478 Ils Bd. The hospital at Mercury Bay cost the board £1717 13s lid for the same period, £2150 having been allowed for it this year in the board’s estimates. The daily average of occupied beds at Mercury Bay was 1.85. The sum of £2lB Is 9d was spent or. provisions; £8 Os 7d on surgery and dispensary; £llB 4s 7d on domestic requirements; £1097 13s 5d on salaries and wages; £lOB 8s lid miscellaneous; £lO7 'Bs lid on the establishment and is 9d on the grounds. It is estimated that £5O will be spent on the grounds this year.
