DOMAIN BOARD

ANNUAL MEETING HELD

DEBIT BALANCE OF £l9/-/-

The annual meeting of the Coromandel County Domain Board was held recently in Coromandel. The annual report of the Long Bay Park Domain was read and showed a debit balance of £l9 16s 4d. Work to the value of £l7l 16s 6d had been carried out during the year, mostly in the construction of a dam in the bush to provide a water supply, £BO being received from the Government as a grant towards this work. It was proposed by Cr. T. V. Whittle and

seconded by Cr. E. Deeble, “ that a letter be sent to the honorary caretaker, Mr Brady, in appreciation of his services. The works committee was empowered to attend to improvements at Long Bay.

The annual report and balance sheet of the Hot Water Beach Domain was read, showing an increase in the credit balance from £59 4s 8d to £7O 14s 7d. This was accounted for by the payment of grazing receipts and interest, and the fact that no money was paid out for expenditure. Cr. T. V. Whittle asked if some access could be provided in accordance with Mr Hamilton's request. This was agreed to.
