Hudson again played well in the halves and backed his full-backs up well. B. Matchett made several good saves. G. Reid also scored.

A fast and even game against Franklin B resulted in a defeat for Hauraki by five goals to two. The forwards were on form awaiting openings and the halves were sound, being well backed by J. Bowen and B. Neale. N. Whiteman and M. Foote netted. S. Wilson’s reversed play to suit the game, which was very open, but team work was lacking. The Hauraki Plains Hockey Association’s ladies’ team in their second game were defeated by one goal to nil by King Country, the score being netted in the last few minutes of the game. Play was very even throughout with no spectacular play from either team. Goalkeepers saved many attempts to score.
