BULL FOR SOUTHLAND

FROM MR K. DEAN’S STUD AN EXCELLENT TYPE The stud stock department of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have of late made quite a few private sales- in this district and the latest is the sale of a high class yearling bull to Mr Rod Gray of Southland from the stud of Mr Ken Dean, of Komata.

The bull is 'an excellent type from the good young cow 'Cloverfield Sunshower, with an O.H.T. of 514 lb. fat in 305 days at 2 years of age. From a study of his pedigree one finds that he embraces the bloodlines' of Brampton Dreaming Sam, C. 8.8., Owler of Puketapu, C. 8.8., and K.C.8., C. 8.8., through some of the best channels. He will have every opportunity in his new home as he will be mated with good type cattle of high productive capacity as is evidenced by Mr Gray’s herd average for 70 cows of over 400 lbs. fat last season.
