WAITAKARURU DOMAIN IMPROVEMENTS PLANNED Advice that the Waitakaruru Domain Board proposed to carry out improvements to the Waitakaruru Domain of a value of over £lOO was received at the November meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council by the secretary of the board, Mr R. P. Williams.. « Owing to deterioration during the war period the tennis courts will require extensive repairs to the foundations and complete re-surfacing,” stated the letter. *An additional area of metal parking space is to be provided sb as to enable visiting cars to be removed off the main highway during fixtures. A race track suitable for horse sports events is being laid down this summer. The estimated expenditures are: Tennis courts, £3O; parking area, £2O; race track, £5O; improvements to drainage, £7 10s.” The matter was referred to the .’bmain committee for a report.
