POOR DRAIN CLEANING
KOMATA NORTH AREA (COMMENT BY ENGINEER The county engineer, Mr L. E. Shaw, submitted the following report to the May meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council on the Komata North drainage area: “Most of the drain cleaning has been carried out. satisfactorily, but through not being able to give the necessary supervision of the work, some of the contractors are doing very unsatisfactory cleaning. It was also found that one gang had left without notifying. The men have since been located and have promised to complete the job.”
