PRESENTATION MADE

MR D. STEWART HONOURED WATTAKARURU SPORTS CLUB Mr D. Stewart was the guest of honour at a smoke concert arranged by the Waitakaruru Sports Club recently. Mr Stewart is leaving the district, in which he has resided for 18 years. He has always been a staunch supporter of all the sporting activities at Waitakaruru and he will leave behind many friends. Mr H. T.. P. Evans presented Mr Stewart with a silver sandwich dish and fork suitably inscribed and asked him to accept it on behalf of Mrs Stewart and himself. Mr Stewart thanked the club for the gift and said that he was sorry to be leaving so many friends behind. He shortly would 1 reside at Ngaruawahia, where he had acquired' a business. Over 60’ men’ were present.
