BIRTHDAY INGLESIDE
PAEROA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY MOST ENJOYABLE EVENING A most enjoyable birthday ingleside was held by the 'Paeroa Caledonian Society in the Parish Hall, Paeroa, on Saturday last. The Hamilton Caledonian Society was over in strength and there were many other visitors from adjacent societies. The programme was of an especially high standard, being composed of traditional dances interspersed with items, the arrangements throughout being in the hands of the Hamilton visitors. Individual items could not be singled out, ranging as they did from the piping-in of the chiefs; through an evening of wonderful piping, song and dance, to the 'final “Auld Lang Syne.” The Hamilton visitors when they left were assured of the thanks of the .Paeroa Society and left behind them a refreshing glimpse of “Auld Scotland.”
