FELL FROM CAR

SMALL BOY KILLED TRAGEDY NEAR PAEROA ACCIDENT ON AWAITI ROAD When he fell from a car on Monday evening, a small Paeroa iboy received injuries from which he died later that night. He was: Kevin John Clune, aged four years, younger son of Mr and Mrs C. Clune, of Normanby road, Paeroa.

The accident occurred when Mr Clune was returning to Paeroa along Awaiti road and the door of the car flew open. Kevin fell heavily to the metalled road, landing on his head.

The child was brought into Paeroa where he was attended by Dr. Q. L. Haslett and later taken to the Thames Hospital where he died that night.
