WATER SUPPLY

POSITION IN COROMANDEL PROMISE TO ELECTORS Cr. W. Hamilton started the ball rolling regarding the Coromandel water supply when he reported to the November meeting of the Coromandel County Council that he had been informed of the very poor pressure of water at the hospital. Cr. A. J. Notman stated right away that he and Crs. E. Deeble and A. M. Winstone had been elected on their pledge to go into the water supply question very thoroughly and give the matter of cleaning out the dam their immediate attention.

“ That’s months ago,” he continued, “and so far we have done nothing about it.”

After discussion it was left for reports to be presented at the next meeting and tests to be taken at various places with pelton wheels on and off in order to allow the council to go into the position thoroughly with a view to taking definite and immediate steps to carry out their promises.
