PIG SALE HELD AT PAEROA
STORES VERY KEENLY SOUGHT There was a very heavy yarding at the fortnightly pig* sale at Paeroa on Monday, reports the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. All yards arid pens were taxed to the utmost and a good! sale resulted with almost a complete clearance. All classes of store pigs were very keenly sought after. Quotations: —Choppers made from £3 10's to £6 7s 6d. Baconers, heavy from £5 to £5 ss, medium £4 15s to £4 19s, light £4 to £4 8s; porkers, heavy from £3 14s to 3 18s, medium £3 7s to £3' 12s; light, £3 to £3. 7s; stores, large from l £2 to £3 ss; slips from £2 to £2 15s; weaners, good from 31s to 395, others' 20 s to 28s; sows, close to profit from £3 10s to £5 10’s; sows, with litters, £4 to £8; boars from lgn. to 7gns.
