MRS RUBY NGAPO COROMANDEL RESIDENT The death occurred on Thursday last at Coromandel Hospital of Mrs Ruby Ngapo, a well-known resident of Coromandel. Mrs Ngapo wag the daughter of Mr and Mrs J. McGregor, who were old identities here in the early days. She leaves a husband, one daughter, Gloria, and three sons, Jim ’(overseas), Len. and Norman. The funeral took place on Friday. The Rev. Moore conducted a service at the Presbyterian Church prior to leaving for the cemetery. A guard of honour was formed by members of the W.W.S.A. of which organisation Mrs Ngapo was on the executive committee. The ladies’ Maori choir from Kennedy’s Bay sang a Maori lament at the graveside, which was a fitting and beautiful tribute. The late Mrs Ngapo had not enjoyed good health, for some time prior to her death and consequently had lived a somewhat. retired life during the last few years. She was of a very happy disposition and was loved by all who knew her. The beautiful floral cmMenis and large cortege to the graveside were a tribute to the respect and love in which she was held in the community.
