A guard of honour was formed by members of the W.W.S.A. of which organisation Mrs Ngapo was on the executive committee. The ladies’ Maori choir from Kennedy’s Bay sang a Maori lament at the graveside, which was a fitting and beautiful tribute. The late Mrs Ngapo had not enjoyed good health, for some time prior to her death and consequently had lived a somewhat. retired life during the last few years. She was of a very happy disposition and was loved by all who knew her. The beautiful floral cmMenis and large cortege to the graveside were a tribute to the respect and love in which she was held in the community.
