TOTAL CLEARANCE EFFECTED

Messrs G. W. Vercoe and Co., held their fortnightly stock sale at Paeroa on Wednesday, July 1, when a good yarding came forward and everything was cleared at satisfactory prices. Buyers for young cattle were present from surrounding districts. Quotations: — (Fat cows, £5 4s to £5 14s; boner cows, £2 10s to £4 2s; bulls, £1 IQs/ - July and August calvers, £8 5s to £8 17s 6d; others, £5 15s to £7 12s 6d; dairy heifers, forward in calf, £8 5s to £9; backward, £6 5s to £7 10s; small, £4 15s to £5 ss; weaner heifers, good quality, £4 5s to £4 7s; others, £3 7s to £3 12s 6d: small, £1 17s 6d to £2 15s. Fat wethers, 31s 6d; store wethers, 245; shorn lambs, 16s 3d.
