READY SALE
DAIRY CATTLE KEENLY SOUGHT MORRINSVILLE SALE VALUES The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited report that at their weekly Morrinsville sale on Friday a small yarding of fat sheep and lambs sold at late rates, whilst the advertised entry of breeding ewes from Hawke’s Bay realised satisfactory prices, and a total clearance was effected.
A good entry' of cow beef sold readily, while a full entry of boner and store cows met free competition, late' rates being fully maintained. Good 2-year empty Jersey heifers elicited keen bidding, but yearling heifers were somewhat easier of sale.
A full yarding of dairy cattle again met a ready sale, values remaining on a par with last week. Best in-calf dairy heifers made to £l2 ss, while dairy cows sold to £ll 10s. Backward cows and heifers were not wanted.
A large yarding of pigs. The demand for all classes was' -very keen, with values up to recent sales. Breeding sows, especially, were sought after.
