£26 PAID FOR COWS
GRADE JERSEYS IN DEMAND SPECIAL SALE AT TE PUKE The' Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limite'd, report having held their usual stock and special dairy sale at Te Puke recently
when a full entry of all classes of cattle came forward. An average yarding, comprising mostly fat Jersey cows, was penned. Competition was steady and values remained firm. Boner cows met a good sale, a total clearance resulting. A full entry of dairy cattle, including the advertised herd of grade Jersey cows on account of Mr K. A. Bennett. These cattle created a good enquiry and elicited particularly brisk competition, from £2l to £26 being paid, for best cows. The lowest price was £l2, the whole herd averaging £l6 which is the highest average recorded in any district this season.
