PAEROA E.P.S. TRIAL TIME AND DATE A SECRET ALARM ONE DAY NEXT WEEK A thirty-minutes trial of the Paeroa E.PJS. organisation will be held one day next week between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. In order to test out the organisation fully neither the day nor hour of the trial will be announced.
It is visualised that an air raid attack on Paeroa is imminent but that sufficient time is available for the effective dispersal of school children, staffs of shops and offices and of the .general public in the main street. Imniediately the alarm is sounded all persons attached to E.P.'S. unitsshould report to their assembly points. All other persons in the main street should proceed immediately to the Domain, river bank or other locality where overhead cover is available at a reasonable distance from the ■business area.
Employers should close their shops or offices and allow their employees to proceed immediately to the above shelter areas. Persons residing outside the business area should remain in their homes.
Persons driving vehicles should proceed immediately to the nearest side-street, park their vehicles and take shelter. The public are urged to take full advantage of all overhead cover available in the shape of trees, en route to dispersal areas. They are also warned not to congregate in groups anywhere. When the alarm is sounded the public are urged to co-operate by observing the above instructions and by remaining under shelter until the All Clear” has been sounded.
