NEW LINKS TO BE FORMED

ANNUAL MEETING OF THE CLUB

The annual meeting of the Netherton Golf Club was held recently. The club’s balance sheet showed a small credit balance with assets amounting to £l3In view of the fact that the -club had lost the .use of Mr Green’s property and had no links, considerable discussion took place concerning the advisability of carrying on at Netherton. Messrs K. and A. Morrison offered their properties on which to make new links so the club gratefully accepted their offer and formed a working bee to make a start at once. The general opinion of the members "Was that good links could be made on the proposed site. The -election of officers resulted as follows:—

Patron, Mrs J. Morrison Snr.; president, Mr C. E. McNeil; vicepresidents, ID. Prime, J. Reid, C. W. Malcolm, M. A. Carter, H. Jeffries; secretary and treasurer, A. G. Coldicutt; cluib captain, V. A. Laurent; committee, Messrs Laurent, F. T. V. Johnson, J. Sarjant, W. Richmond, K. Morrison and A. Coldcutt.
