HIKUTAIA POLO
OPENING ON SATURDAY DANCE IN THE EVENING The Hikutaia. Polo Club will hold its official opening of the season on Saturday, November 18, at Mr A. Duncan’s paddock, Hikutaia. Play will commence at 11 a.m. sharp and there will be visiting p ! olo players present from Morrinsville, Waihou and Hauraki Clubs. With the talent that promises to be present some excellent sport will be witnessed and a good day’s fun is assured.
In the evening a dance and euchre party will be held in the Hikutaia Hall when patrons are promised a good night’s fun.
Walker’s New Arcadians have been engaged to supply the music and an excellent supper will be served.
KEENLY CONTESTED CHUKKAS USUAL WEEKLY GAMES There was a large crowd of spectators present during last week-end when the usual weekly games were played, by the Hikutaia Polo Club at Mr P. Corbett’s paddock.
There was a good muster of members and every chukka was keenly contested, once again the standard of play showing improvement. The following players were present: —J. Klaus, W. Green, B. Duncan, C. Murdock, H. Marden, A. Lowry, A. Boyce, P. Goonan, G. Royall, G. Flavell, R. Sykes.
