THE RAIWAY MISHAP.
. DERAILED BENZINE TANK. EMPTIED AND REMOVED. • The Atlantic Union Oil Company’s benzine tank, which was de-railed ■during shunting operations at the Paeroa railway station : on Saturday morning, was emptied on Monday ' ■night, after having been propped up to prevent it capsizing into the drain. : On Tuesday morning the . waggon was lifted by a Railway Department i steam crane and replaced on its wheels on the line. . This evening the waggon will be removed to Otahuhu :railway workshops for overhaul. Beyond a broken king-pin, the waggon was ’not greatly damaged. A few hundred gallons of benzine leaked away, but as the Railway Department ’had a man on guard from the time of the mishap until all the benzine had Abeen pumped out the danger from fire .-was reduced to a minimum..
