THAMES ELECTORATE. MR,, MASON' WITHDRAWS. At a meeting of the United Political ' Party,' held at Thames on Monday -evening, the delegates appointed to represent'all parts of the Thames electorat were present; Mr Madgwick, president of the branch, presided. •Mr Colin Mason announced that on ■account of private reasons he had decided to withdraw from the position •of official United candidate for the ■electorate. Great regret was expressed at the .announcement of Mr Mason’s decision when it became clear that there was - no possibility whatever of his recoh- - sidering the matter. It was decided that the meeting be adjourned. in order to give delegates an opportunity of considering the • merits', of otfier possible candidates. Mr Mason mentioned that whoever was selected would receive his wholehearted support.
